Led the US tax team on sixteen buy-sell transactions worth $12+ billion, twice causing transactions to succeed, and in other transactions - saving $100 million in cash, - reducing completion costs from $85 million to nil, - increasing future amortization deductions by $70 million, - and structuring around $17 million of state tax.
  • Strategic and Tactical Tax Planning. Achieved the strategic rate reduction goal of 31% and implemented over 25 million$+ projects worth $120 million net by - adjusting debt to equity ratios, - restructuring foreign and domestic operations, - optimizing US tax credits and losses, - creating foreign sales corporations, - tuning transfer pricing, - and a variety of other recurring and one time strategies.
  • Tax Audits and Controversies. After restoring cooperation and trust, brought IRS audits current by successfully negotiating and settling 25 large case tax years in 12 years while - eliminating IRS related professional fees, - initiating $20 million in successful claims, - mitigating unitary tax, - reviewing 4000 document requests, - and winning a Supreme Court case in Maine.
